Members of RamsTrust, the Supporters Clubs and the Derby County Community Partnership are working together, with the support of the Club, to build a bronze statue of the Rams' greatest ever goalscorer: Steve Bloomer.Ann and Chris are members of the Steve Bloomer Project steering committee.
This project is about more than just a statue though. It's about celebrating the rich heritage of our great club and is an opportunity for supporters to come together to create a monument that we can all take pride in for years to come.We plan to involve local schoolchildren and as many members of the community as possible. We're delighted that Steve Bloomer's grandson is part of the project team and we hope this historic scheme will capture the imagination of the local community.
We also plan to achieve the long term objective of founding a "Steve Bloomer Experience" museum, and an associated web-based e-learning facility.
