26.04.06 Jonno Backs Danielle Campaign ![]() Rams defender Michael Johnson and other celebrities from the worlds of sport, music and television, are backing a trust fund launched in honour of murdered Nottingham schoolgirl Danielle Beccan. The Danielle Beccan Memorial Trust, which was established by her family after she was shot dead in Nottingham in October 2004, want to raise £500,000 to build a performing arts centre in the St Ann's area of Nottingham. Jonno, who grew up in St Ann's, said: 'If this centre we want to build keeps one or two kids off the streets and out of trouble, it will have been worth it.' 13.03.06 Winning With FairtradeLucky prizewinner Amanda Briggs receives an autographed fairtrade football from Michael Johnson before the Burnley game. The DCCP and Derby Fairtrade Group arranged a number of activities at the match. 22.01.06 Sensory Garden Project ![]() The DCCP are supporting staff at the Resource Day Hospital at Derbyshire Royal Infirmary in raising £2,500 to build a sensory garden for mental health patients. The six staff are raising the funds themselves with help from a number of organisations including the DCCP. The garden is being designed by students at Derby College's Broomfield Hall. Derby County are helping with the fund raising with items for auction and through the DCCP are looking at ways of providing practical help with the building, opening and maintenance of the garden as well. Ted McMinn Benefit MatchDerby County’s Pride Park Stadium will host the benefit match which will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, May 1, with a 3pm kick-off. The match, will feature a Glasgow Rangers ‘Nine-In-A-Row’ team against a Derby County select side including Rams heroes and guest star players. 30.10.05 Jonno's Kids of CourageRams star Michael Johnson is inviting five of Derbyshire's most courageous children to spend Boxing Day as his guests at Pride Park Stadium. The caring defender this season invested in the club by purchasing an executive box and, at the Luton game, he's opening the doors to youngsters who have demonstrated amazing bravery in the face of adversity. Five children aged 16 or under, plus a parent or carer, will enjoy refreshments before the game on 26 December (3pm kick-off), complimentary matchday programmes and the best seats in the house when the action gets underway. And, at the final whistle, Jonno himself will make his way up to the box to sign autographs and have his photo taken with the VIP guests. 15.10.05 Website Launched ![]() The DCCP website and communication channels were officially launched yesterday and within hours the first email of support was received. Toby Sills, Joint Chair Derby County Supporters Clubs, Executive Committee, said "Congratulations to you all on the launch of your website and the work you have been doing. Both the website and the work you undertake is a credit to you all. Well done. If there is anything I can do or raise at DCFC Supporters' Clubs' Executive Meetings, then don't hesitate to get in touch." The DCCP thank the Supporters Clubs for their continued support. 14.10.05 Rams Launch Earthquake Auction Many members of the Derbyshire community have family and friends affected by last weekend's South Asia earthquake and the Rams are calling on fans to play their part in fund-raising efforts for those involved in the disaster. 12.10.05 Reconvened Supporters Exec Meeting The DCCP Organisers attended the reconvened Supporters Exec Meeting at Pride Park Stadium last night. The questions submitted for the original meeting on 15 September were answered by the Club's Board. 07.10.05 Oxfam Shop Re-opening Derby County Midfielder Nathan Doyle officially opened the newly re-furbished Oxfam shop in Derby yesterday.The DCCP introduced the Derby Fairtrade City Group to Derby County to engage the Club in promoting Fairtrade. Oxfam are closely involved in fairtrade issues. The DCCP's Andy Smith was on hand to support the opening. 08.09.05 DCCP Thoughts for the DCFC Board The DCCP outlines its thoughts on the Murdo Mackay situation and fans protests.
