The DCCP exists for the purpose of building and improving links between Derby County Football Club and the local community. The Derby County Community Partnership was formed by a small group of season ticket holders who wished to work directly with Derby County Football Club in improving the links between the Club and its community. The proposal was to enhance the relationship between the Club and its community and create greater opportunities for feedback from the community to the Football Club. As season ticket holders, the founders of the Derby County Community Partnership wished to improve the feedback mechanisms between DCFC and its supporters. The development of the DCCP has been from the start related closely to the terms and conditions of the Customer Charter, which is an obligation of all Clubs in the FA Premier League and The Football League. The aims and aspirations of DCCP are drawn from aspects of the Customer Charter, with regard to the support and protection of community amenities, opportunities, and aspirations with regard to DCFC. As changes have occurred at DCFC, then those changes have been absorbed into the growth and new directions of DCCP. Two constants remain – the enhancement of the relationship between the Football Club and its supporters within and outside the match day experience, and the enhancement of the relationship between the Football Club and the Community it serves |
